Privacy Policy ​

ClipSeek (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we handle when you use the ClipSeek desktop app, website, purchasing, licensing, and support services, why we handle it, and what choices you have.

Privacy at a glance ​

  • Your media stays on your device: Imported videos, video frames, photos, thumbnails, tags, and AI indexes are not uploaded to us during normal use.
  • We collect only what the service needs: This may include your purchase email, license status, and limited device and security records.
  • We do not sell personal information: We do not sell or rent your personal information.
  • You can contact us: To request access, correction, or deletion, email support@clipseek.ai.

1. Information we handle ​

Purchases and licenses ​

We may handle your email address, order and product identifiers, payment status, masked license information, activation status, a one-way hashed device identifier, and activation or device-change timestamps. The payment provider handles full card and billing details; ClipSeek does not receive or store complete card numbers.

License management ​

When you view or unbind a license, we may handle your email, one-time verification data, short-lived session identifiers, IP address for abuse prevention, and device-unbinding records.

Support ​

We handle information and attachments you voluntarily send to support. Diagnostic logs exported by the app are designed to obscure sensitive paths and do not include media-file contents.

Website visits ​

The website may process basic analytics such as pages visited, browser or device type, referrer, approximate region, and timestamps. Hosting and security providers may also process IP addresses and request metadata.

2. Data that stays on your device ​

The following data is processed and stored locally on your Mac:

  • Imported videos, video-frame imagery, and photos;
  • Thumbnails, tags, and extracted media metadata;
  • Your local library, search terms, and AI vector indexes.

The app connects to our CDN only to download the app, updates, and AI models, and connects to the license service for activation and periodic validation.

3. How we use information ​

We use information only as needed to deliver orders and keys; activate, validate, and manage licenses; send necessary transactional email; provide support; prevent abuse and security threats; improve the product; meet applicable legal obligations; and enforce our Terms.

4. Service providers and necessary disclosure ​

  • Creem: Checkout, payments, billing, and refunds;
  • Cloudflare: Hosting, CDN, security, databases, and licensing infrastructure;
  • Aliyun Direct Mail: Transactional email;
  • Google Analytics and Vibeloft: Website analytics and basic telemetry.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. We may disclose necessary information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer.

5. Retention and security ​

Purchase and license records are kept while a license is valid and afterward when reasonably needed for support, security, accounting, or legal obligations. Verification codes and login sessions expire after a limited period.

We use reasonable safeguards such as hashing device identifiers and encrypting stored keys, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

6. International processing ​

Some providers may process information outside your region. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards and lawful transfer mechanisms offered by those providers.

7. Your rights ​

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Some records may need to be retained for security, transaction, or legal reasons. You can also use browser settings or content blockers to limit website analytics.

8. Children and policy updates ​

ClipSeek is not directed to children under 13 or the minimum age in their region. We may update this policy and will revise the effective date at the top of this page when we do.
