Terms of Service

These Terms govern the ClipSeek desktop application, website, license services, downloads, and support (the “Service”). ClipSeek is independently developed and operated by Luffy Ye (“we”). By downloading, purchasing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
ClipSeek is a macOS app for locally importing, indexing, searching, previewing, tagging, and organizing videos and images. The free edition supports up to 5 GiB of source media. A paid Pro license removes that capacity restriction, subject to technical and reasonable-use limits. You are responsible for compatibility, backups, and rights to the media you import.
2. Acceptable use
You must be legally able to enter this agreement. You may not use the Service to break the law, infringe rights, distribute malware, interfere with the Service, bypass license or security controls, reverse engineer except where law permits it, or resell or transfer a license without written permission.
3. License grant
Subject to these Terms and payment, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license for personal or business use. One Pro key may be active on one Mac at a time. You may unbind it through license management; each key currently permits up to three replacement-device activations.
“Lifetime” or “perpetual” means the purchased version may be used while it remains technically compatible with your device and operating system. It does not guarantee indefinite online services, support, or updates. The purchase includes updates in the 0.x line unless checkout states otherwise.
4. Price, payment, and delivery
The current price and included features appear on the purchase page. Creem acts as Merchant of Record and handles payment, applicable tax, invoices, and payment disputes under its checkout terms. The digital key is shown after successful payment and emailed to the checkout address. Contact support@clipseek.ai if delivery fails.
5. Refunds
Because a free edition is available for compatibility testing and keys are delivered immediately, purchases are generally final after delivery or activation, except where law requires otherwise. If the software cannot be activated or materially fails to perform as described and we cannot resolve it, contact us within 14 days with your order details. Approved refunds are returned through Creem to the original payment method. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
6. Updates and availability
We may provide fixes and feature or security updates that change system requirements. We may change or discontinue parts of the Service, but will not intentionally disable a valid perpetual license to the purchased version except for fraud, chargeback, material breach, or legal/security necessity.
7. Ownership
ClipSeek, its software, interface, documentation, and branding belong to us or our licensors. You retain all rights in your media and metadata.
8. Disclaimer and liability
To the extent law permits, the Service is provided “as is” without a promise of uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintain independent backups. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages. Our aggregate liability will not exceed what you paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim. Restrictions prohibited by law do not apply.
9. Termination and changes
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend online licensing for fraud, reversal, abuse, or material breach. We may update these Terms and revise the effective date; material changes will be communicated where reasonably possible. Mandatory local consumer law remains applicable.
